You'll need the melt Greg. You need a good melt this week, no late snow and
a good warm spring. 50/50 at best guy.

The southern and High Sierra snow surveys sites currently show less than a
foot of snow below 8000 feet and one to two feet of snow above that
depending
upon exposure. All exhibit rapid meltoff decline rates.
Barring another late, significant Spring storm (entirely possible) my
original prediction for entering the Sierras and finding snow passible by
mid
May is still holding up well.
