[pct-l] Alcohol boil test

 I just got a 4 minute and 50 second FULL boil on a liter, NOT 2 CUP with my 
large version alcohol stove. This is with very cold well water and using a 
lid. No joke, this is as good as many white gas stoves!!! I'll bring this to 
the kick-off as it is still lighter than a whisperlight and should be a good 
group stove, or even two person stove. ( Pretty much a copy of Roy Robinson's 
famous Cat Food Can stove, but with a Jumbo Tuna or Chicken Can in place of 
the small cat food can and a 3 lb coffee can in place of large cat food can 
and cut down to 3 inch height. Then J.B. Weld three empty 357.mag pistol 
cases as spacers arranged around 3 inch hole in top of coffee can. ( Coffee 
can has 8 V-shaped air vents cut along bottom to draw fresh air.) I'll be 
doing my annual Eagle Creek Hike April 13th and 14th with several folks and 
will test my alcohol group stove. THIS THING THROWS THE HEAT!!!!!!! ( P.S. I 
used 2 ozs. of fuel in large stove for this burn and may have been able to 
boil 2 liters with this cooker) Monte
