[pct-l] San Diego Area Hiking

Hello, my name is Bryan and I currently live in Minnesota, and I am going to
San Diego in June or July to visit my sister and I would like to do some
hiking. I have some questions before I go though:

1. Are there areas of the PCT close to San Diego that would be recommended that
time of year, or would they be too hot?

2. If not the PCT, can somebody recommend some other good hikes in the area?
I'm willing to travel 2-3 hours.
