[pct-l] Re:Bicycles on the Pct

I pursued this last year when I
had the hair brained idea that PCT
crossing public domain land could
not be regulated against bicycles,
but immediately got a nice email
straight from the pacific crest trail
association indicating the enforced
"non-mechanical use" of the entire PCT.
As both a hiker and biker, I do feel
overregulated by not being able to ride
on stretches of trail which get light
use in remote areas. But, alas, my
concience does not allow me to pedal
these paths any longer......

Anybody got any good trail recipes ?

Opinions on Bear Cans ?
