[pct-l] Crater Lake inquiry

I am sure that every year is different, but in 2000 I would not have counted
on a full resupply at the Crater Lake Mazama campground store. A few years
before, I thought differently - much better supplies. However, since the
hiker box was somewhat full, you might be able to get by - but you are
taking a chance. In 2000, there were enough ramen packages to last to
Cascade Locks (if you could carry that much). Actually, most of the hiker
boxes were pretty good. But .......... And don't count on many supplies at
trail stops in Oregon (unless you go way off-trail).

The address we used in 2000 is: Crater Lake Camp Store, Mazama Village,
Crater Lake, OR 97604. Sent a package via UPS.

By the way, believe the guide book about the lack of water just north of
Crater Lake if you take the official trail. Many people go down to Diamond
Lake. In 2000, some wonderful trail angels left a stash of water just before
the highway north of Crater Lake.
