In fact in my experiences with those maps in WA they will most likely
contribute to your getting lost.  The roads are also very inaccurate.  If
you think you really need more maps than the guide book then go with the
Green trails maps.  They are pretty accurate and the roads are good if you
have to bail for some reason.  They are available at REI and at
www.greentrailsmaps.com.  They are set up for GPS as well as compass.
