I am making a point of carrying my passport this year.
Not only for the reasons you described, but also to
make life easier for me when I go back to the US from
Canada.
For some reason, I am guessing that men in their late
twenties, traveling by themselves, who have a thick,
five months worth of black beard growth, and an olive
complexion may find life a bit interesting at the
border crossing this year. (I'll just put on my
thickest native New Englandah accent..hopefully
they'll fahgedaboudit ;-D)
