grass availability,  Charlie has a post there with an e-mail address that
comes up when you click on his name.
Hope this helps.  I personally would not take my dog on the SO CA section
after seeing how hard it was on my horses last year.  They each wore a pair
of steel shoes completely through in 150 miles.  Imagine what that would do
with a dog's paws.
