I have the large Bearikade. At 2#3oz it weighs less than the small Bear Can
or Garcia. I rarely use it because I am able to get a week's food for two
into a small Bearikade [1#10oz, holds 15-17 pounds of food packed
correctly]. There will be a demonstration of effective bear canister packing
at ADZPCTKO. The web is www.wild-ideas.net (805) 693-0550
I have virtually every bear Canister known to man. I find the bearikade the
best and most expensive.

Howdy Folks!
I am trying to find bear resistant cannisters. The Garcia Machine is
not an option, as I need MUCH more carrying capacity. Does anyone know
if Gio Enterprises, the manufacturer of "The Bear Can" is still in
operation? How about the makers of the "Bearikade?" Their web site is
not working, and I don't have a telphone number for them.
Has anyone used these products? What do you think? Which one do you
prefer? (I am not worried about the money issue as much as I am the
ease of use and "stability" of the product.)
Thanks for any input!
