Brawny will be using a prototype model of our new ultralight Tacoma tent =
this year on her AT hike. It weighs 16 ounces has a center height of 36 =
inches. It is 8 ft. long along the back wall, tapers down to 5 ft. at =
the front and is 54 inches wide. =20
It is made entirely of silnylon. Five stakes are needed to erect the =
tent. One hiking pole can be used as a frame, and a second pole =
(optional) can be used to create a wall at the rear of the tent. It can =
also be pitched with no poles using the available hanging loops (if =
trees are available). We also intend to offer a tarp which will be =
similar to Brawny's tent (but won't have a floor).
