[pct-l] favorite boots

For basic foot care, check out John Vonhof's "Fixing Your Feet" (2nd
edition, I believe) - a tremendous resource and all you should need.

My basic blister prevention was suggested by a podiatrist and works for me:

Slather feet with vaseline, then put on socks & boots or shoes. Reapply to
blister prone areas if you take your boots/socks off at lunch or other
breaks. The vaseline lubricates thin foot-skin and helps the skin heal. It
feels a bit weird at first but you get used to it.

(I had to take a week off after Warner Springs in '94 because the blisters
covered the balls of my feet - ick. I'd been trying the
cornstarch-alcohol-dry the feet out system and wrecked the skin.

Since using the vaseline system I've had almost no blisters.

How's that for snake oil????
