Many of you know I hiked a bunch of the PCT with UK Ray or Virge as we liked
to call him. Well after his first summer on the PCT he when home and gave a
talk to his local theater group about his PCT adventures. It was a 2 hour
talk to several hundred people about life on the PCT. 

During that talk he managed to get only as far as Agua Dulce before running
out of time. Clearly he needed a good editor. Anyway I chastised him for not
making an audio tape of the talk. Especially since I figured I'd get raked
over the coals a few times and needed some way to defend my good honor.

Following his hike last summer, he returned home and did another talk. This
time thanks to some editing he talked his way to the Canadian border. He
also took my advice and did it one better. He video taped his talk and  sent
me a copy. 

It's 2 plus hours long of Ray standing before an audience giving one of his
grand performances. It's extremely funny and the best talk on the PCT I've
ever seen. With his permission, I can make copies for anyone interested (for
the copying fee). Right now I don't know how much it'll cost. I just wanted
to find out how much interest there is by people who wish to see it.

So if you're interested drop me a line. I probably won't do anything until
sometime after the first of the year.

Ray's also finished a book about the PCT "Virgin on the Crest" and is
currently looking for a publisher. If and when it's published, I'll let you
know.
