Actually, he did. This is an educational opportunity for those who may not
understand the nature of the media animal. I'm disappointed but not
surprised by articles such as the one in the Nov. 12 U.S. News & World
Report, which contained nothing of substance. I listened to the phone
interview from which this piece was fabricated, and it simply illustrates
that a reporter will ask the questions he chooses to ask and print the
answers he chooses to hear.
The beauty of these trails and their value as an irreplaceable resource in
need of preservation, protection and maintenance, are things that Brian
considers important but that some publications clearly do not. In short,
your criticism is misdirected.
