My complete and total congratulations to the Man of
the Year.

Hiking has just won world attention, and perhaps the
respect it deserves.

Good heavens, Brian, you did it!!!

So glad I got a chance to meet Brian and his dad, Roy
at the kick off party at Lake Morena this year. Both
terrific people, and had time to talk with us well
wishers.

Have to admit, I really feared something bad would
happen over the course of those trails, something
serious. Who on earth can cover over 7,500 miles, in
elevations of over 12,000 for mile after mega mile,
snow, wind, lonliness, hunger, thirst, and come out
ok? 

may all dreams be achieved...and the nightmares be
banished
