[pct-l] Great Year 2001

Dear List Readers;

  2001 was the best year ever to hike the PCT. The weather was outstanding for me, I think a total of about 10 days with any kind of wetness in the air would cover the summer. I put away my tent wet three times the whole summer. Water wasn't that hard to get, and I went the distance without treating or purifing. OR, meant drinking lake water, and it was a little warm. Northern CA and southern OR tested this trial with all its cattle, I was careful and made it through.
