It's odd now that I read about Brian's progress in the Sunday paper 
instead of pct-l:

As for retro, I just finished a short hike around Sonora Pass with a pack
that some late September through-finishers may have smirked at, but it was 
young at one time:

But that doesn't seem like much compared to this accomplishment, one
of the few packs to have done two pct through hikes 25 years apart:
