[pct-l] Places, Seasons, and Time

What are the seasons for hiking the PCT? I'm sure that some people hike it
year round, but I was wondering when a good time to go would be:

1. For A Thru Hike
2. For an October whole month hike

I live in Minnesota, and I've only seen part of the PCT, in Northern
California, but I've been training, and will probably go within a year. Any
comments would be appreciated.
