[pct-l] Fires of Washington

 Enchantment  Lakes area is now being closed to all use. Several lightning 
stikes have fire crews here very busy. Also some hikers were picked up by 
helicopter and hauled to safety. Mt. Rainier has had a few bad mud slides as 
well this week because of heat and lack of snow this year. ( And maybe it may 
be on the awaking mode!) At least it's melting Glaciers are refilling Alder 
Lake as the last slide raised the lake a bit. Western Washington hasn't had a 
large forest fire since the 1985 Beaver Creek Fire in the Olympics ,but we 
are primed for one this year if we don't get rain. Will climb Adams with a 
large group of friends and family next weekend. It's always a great time and 
fun to give people who have little experiece a chance to top a large peak 
with without too much danger. And yes , I will bring my trusty mouse traps 
for camping at lunch counter. The ravens will be happy and well fed the 
morning after.
