[pct-l] Cabela's Rockets

Gina, thanks for the ecospeak but I don't see how your point has much to do
with Bears raiding Campers and the requirements of Bear cannisters. You
say:

, I don't mind wilderness closures for the benefit of critters. Humans
have
so
> overrun and diminished the habitats of large predators such as bears and

Do really think that the Bears that are raiding campgrounds and campers
are trying to escape us?
And this is all because of shrinking habitat?

And then you say:
I
> am even for quotas limiting the numbers of visitors to the parks, even if
it
> limits my own personal access. I know when permits and quotas starting
> becoming the norm in mountian climbing, many were angered. But there are

Guess What? There are permits and quotas in all the hiking areas that we
have been talking about and that require bear cannisters. And many of the
recent posts have mentioned the rangers checking for permits. And the
campgrounds are limited in size and have "quotas"

I also feel that simply believing that the use of a slingshot is sexist and
due only to male hormones, contributes to a lack of examining the problem
carefully so that an adequate solution can be devised.

Joanne
