[pct-l] Yosemite to Donner

We hiked 120 miles in Yosemite north of Tuolumne from June 24 to July 6. We encountered no snow at all on the trail. We crossed Mule Pass and Burro
Pass. There were snow patches on the steep slopes beside the trail, but not on the trail itself. In fact your biggest concern will likely be water,
as we found all the intermittent streams to be dry. Be sure to tank up at permanent water sources (lakes, rivers and large year round creeks).
Mosquitos were bad at the beginning of the trip and much fewer at the end. We had 4 days of heavy rain July 2-6. Newspapers were referring to it as a
monsoon condition. Read the paper and see if these conditions still exist. If they do, expect days of rain lasting from four hours to all day, and
major league lightning. We bought new raingear when we got home, in anticipation of our next month long trip in August!
