Hi Patch,

That area is pretty hot and dry this time of year.  Consider PCT closer to 
Idyllwild in the San Jacinto Wilderness. (much more scenic). Should still be 
some water up in Tahquitz Creek, but check with the Rangers (909) 659-2117.  
You'll need a permit but they can mail it to you.
