Hey everyone, while on a 'Sunday' drive yesterday going around the =
Castle Crags Wilderness, we came across a 30 yr. old fellow named =
Stefan, who left Campo in mid May. He states he's averaging 37 mpd! and =
at times, does 40+ mpd. He changed from a 'regular' (my words) pack to =
the Golite with the hip belt.  He is totally delighted. He's had it =
since the Sierra and cannot believe what a difference it makes. He's a =
seasonal USFS employee working in and around his home in WA. He says =
he's going to try to get the USFS to lower the wight of their gear. =
Anyway, just wanted to share with you. BTW, when he=20
'signed in' at the Castella P.O. he said he was about the 4th or 5th =
thru hiker. So, there ya go, straight from the......
