 Thumb west to the town of Packwood for lodging from White Pass. Great 
grocery store to resupply also a good Pizza parlor. Packwood has a new big 
Motel and an older place with hot tubs. Go to the tavern and drink with 3 of 
the last 8 remaining loggers in the state. Loggers are like the Whalers of 
the last century ( When the trees and Whales are gone , so go the harvesters) 
Packwood is a super trail town that gets little mention!!
