Here's a technique that only requires ONE SHEET of TP per dump. 
It saves weight and minimizes the used TP you must haul out.

1. Fold the sheet of TP in half and crease.
2. Fold again the opposite way so you have a square and crease.
3. Tear a very small piece off the corner which is the middle of the sheet.
4. IMPORTANT: Place this small piece in your pocket for future use.
5. Open TP to full size.
6. Place middle finger through the resulting hole.
7. Wipe.
8. Gather the TP around your finger and wipe the finger clean.
9. Remove small reserved piece.
10. Use small piece to clean under your finger nail.
