[pct-l] hitch hiking....

     I have had pretty fair luck hitch hiking to towns. The big
     -BUT- here would be in the Yosemite area. I stood near a
     grocery store for hours trying to get back up to the pct at
     Sonora Pass. I am thinking  the reason is the violence in 1998
     or 1999 near Yosemite and Sonora  Pass. The locals were pretty
     spooked by what happened are probably reluctant to pick up
     strangers.
