[pct-l] PCT Footwear

Hi folks,

the most interesting shoe i've come across in my search is the Montrail
Ultra II. haven't tried it yet but it claims to provide excellent support
AND breathability (quick drying) with no gore-tex in a low-cut lightweight
design. this would make it a great shoe for entire pct - heat in desert,
stream crossings and kick-stepping in sierra, support for moderate loads,
etc.

here's what you'll find on montrail.com:

"Ideal for hikers who want a low-cut, but highly trail worthy shoe for
moderate backpacking and day hiking. Breathable and very supportive uppers
on the secure TerraFlex platform combines the advantages of boot technology
under your feet with durable lightweight upper materials for a low-cut shoe
that performs like the heavy-weight boots of a decade ago."

sounds perfect. anyone tried this shoe?
