[pct-l] Complaint about Red's Meadow pricing for packages

After struggling through erosion gullies, fecal matter, and tilled,
sun-dried earth as loose and powdery as beach sand, I would site the main
reason to avoid patronizing Red's Meadow as not their prices, but their
destruction of the PCT treadway and of our trail experience through their
overuse of pack horses for profit. They get rich, while the PCT gets poor.
Why aggravate this situation by sending them your trail food?! The trail
damage is not an illusion, not in the vicinity of Red's. However, we will no
doubt hear how my tying-in of the damage with Red's pack services is indeed
an illusion. Perhaps we should hike the trail for ourselves and reach our
own conclusions.
