I'm curious how many 99/00 PCTers used a bear canister in bear country (mainly
Yosemite). It seems that by that time, the little added weight wouldn't be 
too much.
How many days food can we expect to stuff in one and can we rent them when 
we're
in Yosemite (one of the towns along the way) or is it better to buy. Any 
recommended
lightweight brands?

Those of you that didn't use them, can you shed light on what your 
bear-proofing methods
were? Jardine says he used his food bag as a pillow. Is this even advisable?
