[pct-l] Mailing from Canada

On my '97 hike I had no problem with mailing my food from Canada, it just
took a few days longer because of customs. They may want to open your
packages to see what's inside so don't have any bags or things that might get
cut with an exacto knife near the opening of the box. I also think that they
puposefully cut open some of my bags of powdered gatorade to be sure that it
wasn't colored contraband. I was lucky to have parents who live close to the
US border so often they would drive down with the package open for
inspection, then seal it up and mail it from Blaine. This was the fastest
way and they were never hastled. So I would sugest mailing your packages two
weeks before your planned arival in town ( I am asuming you live in the
Victoria area from your Email address, I live in Langley ).
