This is going to be quite a stretch, but here goes: Pimples - Do they detract
from the natural beauty of the trail and should people who have them just
stay home? Does long distance hiking cause or clear up pimples? Teenagers -
cause of most litter on the trail? What about their role in the CCC which
does quite a bit of PCT maintenance. Should they be banned from the PCT and
everything else for that matter just because they ARE teenagers? Pepperoni
pizza - Does the super large size with a stuffed crust really contain 50,000
calories and can one exist solely on it for 2650 miles assuming you can get
the guy at the Growly Bear restaurant and Peggy at VVR to bake one for you?
Are Peggy's pies an adequate caloric substitute? Middle management -- are
they really necessary for the Forest Service, NPS , and PCTA to function? Are
they edible either cooked or raw? Is it legal to hang them from trees or
should they be stuffed into bear boxes? TV bonding -- a tough one -- lets see
-- um - Should you watch any TV while staying at Whites motel in Mojave to
catch up on (or bond with) the soap operas or would the time be better spent
visiting a bar to bond with the bartender and doing laundry? Or baking a
pepperoni pizza? Or popping zits? Any more dumb questions? ( I got a zillion
of them but the time is probably better spent going cross country skiing.)
