Hi. I'am interested in your trace project. I do not have Cal Topo so I
can't look at it at the moment.
I was wondering a couple things.
How did Topo distances compare to the guide book, and have you any thoughts
on the differences?
How did the elevation profiles come out?
In regard to the guy who was out on the trail last summer running a track
log. I heard he didn't get as far as he thought he would. I thought I read
you got a look at the data. I was wondering how that came out. Did it look
like something you could use to reliably locate the trail?
I ran a single timed track log on 400 miles in Oregon/Wash. I found the
tree cover made a continuous track log difficult. Average waypoints turned
out good though.
Ken Roberts.
