Well Doug,
First you have to trudge way up north, across the tundra, mile after mile, 
until you find an appropriate baby seal.  Then, you just whomp it on the 
head with your lead-filled snowshoe, and viola! you have a seal skin.  As 
far as the bread socks, they sound like a bad idea to me-- all those crumbs 
in your shoes, and the mice nibbling on your feet at night... :)
