[pct-l] Socks

Greg, You are are sick and twisted to say you did the PCT in smartwool socks
and no shoes. ( And only one pair to boot!!!) This lack of respect to other
hiker's thought power only shows that hiking with an old Kelty and it's
aluminum oxide dust coating every surface does alter a person's thinking
process!! Smartwool is really the direct decedent of an early sock named"
Dumbwool" which was produced from 1975 thru 1978. Sock was made of 60% wool
and 40 % metal shavings. Blister count was high and sock was discontinued.
Several PCT hikers from the 70's were have said to have used these with mixed
results. Metal shaving used in socks were said to be from recycled Aluminum
frames ( mostly Kelty's) which explains memory lost of hikers in this time
frame!!! For more infor , go to www.DUMBWOOL.com to see if older hikers
qualify for class action lawsuit.
