[pct-l] Sock ???

I remember in the last year that someone reported on a synthetic sock they got at Walmart or Kmart, and were happy using to hike.
I don't remember the sock.  Any help?  I'd like to try some out.  My Scot ancestry won't let me pay $30.00  =8^0
for a pair of socks.
