[pct-l] Socks

I am also a bit rag wool fan, but I must concede that my smart wool socks have held up better than my good ol' rags. Two years after my thru hike, my rags are, well, rags. My smart wool (which have been washed and worn at least as much as my rags) are still nearly like new. They also fair much better when I accidently run them through the dryer.

On the trail, I like to have a variety of socks and shoes. My most comfortable hiking stretches when when I had smart wool, rag wool, liners, running shoes AND boots. Variety is definitely the key!
