[pct-l] First women PCT thrurider

Morgan (Quenby) Dunlap recently completed her PCT thruride by completing
the section from Tuolome to Sonora Pass (she also considers this to be one
of the roughest sections on the PCT for stock). I believe she is only the
third person and the first women to do so. She was being supported by
Chuck Liskey, a veterinarian, who had intended to walk the trail with a
throughbred pack horse, but shortly after starting they realized that their
ride/walk- bicycle- trailer system was perhaps problematic. Morgan started
the trail with a very tall thoroghbred (16.2) and a small spotted mule. In
Washington, the mule choked in a trailer, got aspiration pneumonia, and
after a month died. She was able to acquire a second experienced trail
horse from the packer at Crystal Mountain, WA and continued on to Manning.
