[pct-l] PCT ,Now and Then

The old PCT differs much from todays trail. For starters, the trail is now
longer than is yesteryear. From the border to Warner Springs was 77 miles in
the 70's, now it's 110. But, the old trail was way harder as Forester Pass
was elevation 16,500 ft. and has now shrank to a piddlely 13,200ft. Also the
snow was much colder back then. These new age whimper-snappers don't really
know the joy of packing enough metal in your pack frame to build a weather
station!!! Yes Yes the good old days!!! Only men of iron will could survive
the OLD PCT.
