[pct-l] the death of heavy metal

i have a north face back magic that i bought new in 1982. i've used this
pack to carry 2 1/2 gallons of water up wild rose peak in death valley,
where the snow was blowing so hard it would cut your face.it's been with
me into the depths of the grand canyon. i used it, carrying 70lbs, to
hike the high sierra and john muir trails, with no resupply. and i've
carried it to the summit of mt. whitney three times. the only problem
i've ever had with it was the stitching on the velcro on the waist band
unraveled. i love this pack. it will be a very sad day when i have to
retire it...
