[pct-l] Following the trail in So Cal

First the trail is almost never flat in Southern California or anywhere else. 
 In fact it is the only thing around in most places and is easy to follow.  
Much of it has been cut through "Chapparel" and it is impossible to deviate 
from the trail.  You are most likely to have trouble at road crossings and 
the like,  but even here by poking around a bit you should not have a problem.
