Don't misunderstand me, Robert, I'm not your problem or even part of it.

Other hikers have flown in and rented cars to drive and set up their own 
water stashes before you. I merely suggested that as a better option than 
following in the paths of other illegal trail users (ATV's and motorcycles).

I'm not a Ranger so I can't quote you chapter and verse, but it is my 
understanding that all "wheeled vehicles" are illegal for trail use. It 
wasn't on the PCT (a National Scenic Trail), but I know a guy who was asked 
to leave the trail (San Jacinto area) because he was pushing his daughter in 
a wheel chair. 

Do what you wish. I'm not the enemy here.

If it's really illegal (as I think it is), the Ranger will show you the 
documentation.
