Mt Sill is not in Evolution Basin but a part of the Palisades. The easiest
way to reach Mt. Sill from the PCT is to go due North over "cirque Pass"
and get into glacier basin and start the ascent from Glacier lake.( there
are steep snow fields, and a headwall on this pass, it is class 3 and
requires aan iceax, perhaps crampons and some routefinding).  You can reach
Glacier Lake basin from Dusy basin and the PCT but it requires two cross
country passes and a lot more elevation gain.
