Come on there's a big difference between carrying a daypack and a full
backpack!  It's ludicrous to say that anyone that didn't carry all their
food for an entire thru-hike without sending it ahead is"Not a Purist" .
Hike your own hike is what I say, but don't get to the end and say you
"BackPacked" the entire PCT.  Your a modified section hiker.
