It's a unique question at least. My personal opinions are: "No, hunting is 
not allowed on the trail" and  "Yes, it is very bad hiker etiquette."  

Please, Dave, leave the blowgun at home or hike another long trail (maybe in 
the Amazon where blowguns are generally accepted).

Lose the blowgun and come on out to the PCT.
