[pct-l] mission creek hostel

I've heard/read several places about the Mission Creek
Hostel (So. Cal. section C).  Is this the same thing
as Randy Testman's "PCT Wilderness Hostel"?  Is it
still open and is it worth the 1.7 mile detour?
