The thing worked for me. I was able to navigate through white out conditions
with the Suunto's compass. IMHO being able to navigate with a compass (in
any form) is the most basic argument one could make!
For me the watch was 100% reliable. The compass is very accurate. The
altimeter's accuracy depends entirely on the user's frequency of
calibration. When I didn't calibrate it for a couple of days I knew that the
reading could be off and considered the information with that in mind.
