[pct-l] Winter Weight Gain!!!

I just saw some photo's taken after the PCT meeting in Portland last
weekend. I look like David Crosby before he gave up booze and pills!!! ( My
hair seems to be sliding back and a tad thinner than I remember ) Need to put
in some training miles ,but work schedule and family come first. ------ Back
to slides verses prints. Prints are nice but can they be made into slides
easily? My slides do well turning into prints and I only print the cream of
the crop from the trip. My old Ricoh 35mm was manual everything and had a
decent lens was set on 125 shudder speed most the time. I also set it on a
rock or whatever to take night camp photos and set the shudder speed to 2 or
4 with good results. It had a built -in light meter to adjust which required
me the crank the shudder speed down to 60 and really brace myself to steady
the camera when taking pictures in darker areas. ( I only used 64 speed slide
film ) My pictures turned out better than I could ever dream. ( beginners
luck! ) I know film is much better now and there are plenty of people on the
list smarter than me in the picture department. My point though is take a
good camera with film to fit your needs. If you do slide shows for your home
town folks when you get back, check into the hottess slide films. Your
truely, David Crosby
