Owen,
I have Leki adjustable poles. They have worked well for two (2) seasons. I
echo all the hiking pole users who state that wouldn't be without them. On
level ground I tend to carry them but every uphill and downhill I find them
invaluable.

Speaking of trekking pole does anyone have any information on how well the
adjustable types holdup?  Do they break? Do they collapse at the wrong time?
