As advertised, Kerrick Canyon goes on and on until finally the ascent to Seavey Pass begins.
The Seavey Pass region contains numerous lovely tarns.
Eventually descend steeply to the Benson Lake trail junction.
The sandy beach of course is caused by constant wind and wave action. It was too cold to camp here.
A better camp is on a slight rise to the east, near the creek from Smedberg Lake. The local inhabitants had to be rousted out.
