Memory is the second thing to go, but I don't remember the first.

Man, I don't remember that year from another up
 there.

 The say memory is
the first thing to go. Here is the annual snow
graph. 1995 was one of the highest snowfall
 years in the last 25

The snow was so deep that
between KM South and Toulomne I only saw a
handful of people. There were so few that the
 backcountry rangers were
 super friendly and
just happy to have someone to talk to.

And everyone freaks-out about snow. But snow is
 not the problem. The
 problem is water.

 This was the trail crossing
just past Evolution Meadows. I didn't
cross there, as that would have been fatal. Per
 the advice of the
 rangers, I swam the creek
upstream in the meadow where the water was
slow, but still deep enough I had to swim.
