Latest CA snowpack chart shows that we're running neck and neck with 1983, especially higher elevations near the crest south of Lake Tahoe.  We're definitely close to record territory when it comes to total precipitation since October 1st, although snowpack has taken a bit of a hit lately because of extremely high snow levels this past week.  If these last few storms were a bit colder, we'd probably be ahead of 1983.
